  • WRITER & DIRECTOR

    Lowell Dean is a Saskatchewan filmmaker with a talent for the twisted. He is best known for writing and directing the horror comedy WOLFCOP and its sequel ANOTHER WOLFCOP. These films quickly achieved cult status following their theatrical release across Canada and the USA. They won awards such as the Audience Choice Award for Best Canadian Feature at the Fantasia International Film Festival, Best Horror Feature at the Arizona Underground Film Festival, and the Special Jury Award at the Fantasporto Fantasy Film festival. they also garnered nominations for five Canadian Comedy Awards, including Best Writing and Best Directing. The success of the WOLFCOP films spawned a franchise, complete with special editions, soundtracks, action figures, and comic books.  Along with DIE ALONE, Lowell also recently wrote and directed DARK MATCH, a wrestling horror film starring Steven Ogg, Ayisha Issa, and Chris Jericho.

  • MAKEUP FX DESIGNER

    Emersen Ziffle has been creating makeup FX for over 15 years. After tackling numerous gory challenges for indie filmmakers, he quickly transitioned into big-budget feature films, where he continues to innovate and excel. Notably, he supervised creature effects for the Christmas classic Krampus with the renowned Weta Workshop in New Zealand. In Vancouver, he led teams of artists and produced groundbreaking prosthetic FX work for various series. His work can be seen in See (Apple TV), The Stand (Paramount+), Peacemaker (HBO Max), and Shogun (Disney+).

     

    Emersen embraces traditional techniques such as illustration, sculpture, molding, and casting, while also integrating digital design, scanning, and 3D printing into his workflow. Whether creating puppets, creatures, injuries, or full-body prosthetics, Emersen is driven by technical challenges and a passion for bringing ideas to life.

  • DIRECTOR OF PHOTOGRAPHY

    Mark Dobrescu, CSC graduated from film school at the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology in 1989. Upon his graduation, he was awarded The Academy of Motion Pictures top student cinematographer of the year and was hired by CTV in Regina, Saskatchewan Canada. Within a year, Mark became the senior cinematographer, travelling worldwide on numerous projects. After his tenure at CTV he began shooting documentaries and commercials for such clients as the National Film Board of Canada, British Airways and The Calgary Stampede. In 2000, Mark was granted full membership in The Canadian Society of Cinematographers. Since then, he has concentrated his career on movies and television series working with directors such as Terry Gilliam, Roger Christian and John Smith and actors Charlize Theron, Jeff Bridges, Ryan Reynolds, Jamie Foxx, Wesley Snipes and Nicolas Cage.  His project list is extensive, shooting such classics as the critically acclaimed series LITTLE MOSQUE ON THE PRAIRIE and the sci-fi thriller STRANDED, starring Christian Slater. Mark completed the Barco Escape formatted picture entitled THE RECALL starring Wesley Snipes and THE HUMANITY BUREAU starring Nicolas Cage.  In addition to DIE ALONE, he recently completed A SCORE TO SETTLE starring Nicolas Cage, DISTORTED starring Christina Ricci and John Cusack, DAUGHTER OF THE WOLF starring Gina Carano and Richard Dreyfuss, ENDLESS starring Alexandra Shipp and Famke Janssen and DANGEROUS starring Scott Eastwood and Mel Gibson.

  • COSTUME DESIGNER

    Brenda Shenher is a seasoned costume designer with over 20 years of experience in film, television, and theatre. Raised on a farm in Saskatchewan, she began sewing at the age of 10 through the local 4-H Club, a skill that has greatly benefited her throughout her career in the arts and entertainment industries.

    Brenda's costume designs have been featured in productions across Canada, the USA, Europe, and Japan, with her work appearing in cinemas and festivals worldwide, including Cannes, TIFF, and Sundance. She has received multiple award nominations, including Gemini nominations for ‘Best Costume Designer’ for Corner Gas and a CAFTCAD nomination for ‘Best Costume Design’ for Supergrid. In 2014, she won the Leo Award for ‘Best Costume Design’ for Mr. Hockey: The Gordie Howe Story.

    In addition to her design work, Brenda is an educator, having taught seminars in Canada, Fiji, France, and Lithuania. She currently resides in Assiniboia, Saskatchewan, Canada.

  • PRODUCTION DESIGNER

    Adrian Traquair brings over twenty years of experience in the film industry, having contributed to the art department on acclaimed productions such as JUST FRIENDS starring Ryan Reynolds, THE TALL MAN starring Jessica Biel, SLEEPWALKING starring Charlize Theron and Woody Harrelson, WE SUMMON THE DARKNESS starring Alexandra Daddario, FLAG DAY starring Sean Penn, THE RECALL starring Wesley Snipes, THE MESSENGERS starring Kristen Stewart,  A SCORE TO SETTLE starring Nicolas Cage, and DANGEROUS starring Scott Eastwood and Mel Gibson. 

    Adrian began his journey in the industry sweeping floors in construction shops, before moving his way up through the art department and establishing himself as a versatile set decorator, art director and production designer.  Driven by a passion for world-building, he finds inspiration in the chaos and nuance of everyday life.  Adrian believes every set should narrate its own story, whether blending into the backdrop or emerging as its own distinct character.

  • COMPOSER

    Todd Bryanton composes music for film, TV and interactive media. In addition to DIE ALONE, his film credits include, DANGEROUS starring Scott Eastwood and Mel Gibson, DISTORTED starring Christina Ricci and John Cusack, ENDLESS starring Alexandra Shipp and Famke Janssen, THE RECALL staring Wesley Snipes, THE HUMANITY BUREAU starring Nicolas Cage, THE TALL MAN starring Jessica Biel and SURVEILLANCE starring Bill Pullman.  Bryanton won the 2009 SMPIA Showcase Award for Best Original Score for SURVEILLANCE and his music was singled out for praise by The Hollywood Reporter, “Bryanton’s score helps maintain a constant undercurrent of dread”. The Chicago Daily Herald recently praised, “Bryanton’s pulsing, thrilling score” for THE ADVENTURE CLUB.  His TV credits include the hit comedy series Corner Gas.  Bryanton releases original music on his YouTube channel, which has over 112 million views.
